A: Not necessarily. Modern infrared panels and smart panel heaters with zone controls often cost less to run than old gas systems because you only heat the areas you use. Storage heaters on off-peak tariffs can be especially cost-effective. We model estimated running costs for your property before you commit.
A: Electrical heating systems are typically permitted for development in both homes and commercial buildings. Listed building consent may be required for some installation methods in listed buildings. We advise you on this during the free site survey.
A: A typical home installation of 4 to 8 heating units takes one day. Larger or more complex projects are phased to minimise disruption. We can also work at weekends for occupied properties.
A: New homes in the UK have not been able to install gas boilers from 2025. Existing homes will follow over the coming decade. Electrical heating is the main alternative. Installing now means you get the benefit of lower running costs before you are required to switch.
A: You will receive a full Electrical Installation Certificate on completion of all works. This is required by most home insurers and is important documentation if you sell or let the property.
